Fundraising and You
We are one of the few organizations that have FUN raising funds for the programs we support.
So what do we do? We put up American Flags during several predetermined holidays in certain neighborhoods in Amarillo. This is currently our only fundraising project and the funds raised go to our organizations that we support.
So, what are “Flags”, and how does it help our community? We place American Flags during the five main holidays, (Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day) in certain neighborhoods in Amarillo. Our club has done this for decades. The funds raised supports numerous local children’s organizations and nonprofits.
How can you help? If you have a truck to help haul flags, we can use your help. We need drivers and individuals to assist with our flag program each year. It’s simple really, the driver takes the individuals along the route to place flags at each designated home. It’s great exercise and you feel a sense of pride delivering these American flags that our soldiers gave their lives for.
